Believe it or not it’s been 40 years since SJC first began in 1976. Since then we’ve had hundreds (maybe even thousands) of Korean-American campers attend SJC at Camp Westminster on Higgins Lake. In these four decades much joy and laughter has been shared and countless life-long friendships were begun and strengthened. To celebrate our 40th year we are having an alumni reunion this August.
WHEN & WHERE: The reunion will be held at Camp Westminster, starting at 11:00 AM on Saturday August 6 and end on Sunday August 7 at around 1:00 PM. The formal program will start with lunch on Saturday and end after lunch on SUN, just before SJC 2016 begins.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Activities are still in the planning stage, but will likely include:
- A nostalgic tour of camp
- Waterfront activities, including canoeing and swimming
- Archery, arts & craft
- SAT night BBQ
- Video scrapbook presentation
- SAT night campfire and singing

T-Shirt included! Fees include one SJC REUNION t-shirt for each person registered. T-shirts for children 3 and under are available @ $10.
Scrapbook Presentation: We’re planning to put together a video scrapbook to be presented SAT night in Fellowship Hall. We’re asking that all interested alums (attending the reunion or not) submit a “page” or two in JPEG or PDF format, and/or a short video clip completing the sentence:
- “Because of Sae Jong Camp” and/or
- “My favorite memory from Sae Jong Camp is…”
Please send in something for the video scrapbook whether you will be at the reunion or not!
Lodging will be provided in the wakeyas (cabins), yurts, Worthington Lodge (formerly known as Van Dussen), and the Holland House in Roscommon. We will do our best to accommodate your housing requests, and keep families together, but we can not guarantee that you (and/or your family) will get your first choice. Once you register we will contact you to get your lodging preference.
Fees for the reunion (SAT 11 am – SUN after lunch) are as follows:
- If registered and paid in full by 5/31/16: Adults @ $99, Youth @ $75, under 3 FREE
- If registered after 5/31/16: Adults @ $125, Youth @ $99, under 3 FREE
- If balance of fees due are not paid by 7/1/16 there is a $25 late fee per person.
Early Arrival: Those interested may arrive early to camp between 4 and 6 PM on Friday August 5. Folks who choose this option will enjoy more time to re-connect and reminisce with friends in a more informal setting before the program starts on Saturday morning.
Fees for early arrivals (above and beyond those listed above) include FRI night lodging, FRI dinner and SAT breakfast.and are:
- If registered and paid in full by 5/31/16: Adults @ $99, Youth @ $75, under 3 FREE
- If registered after 5/31/16: Adults @ $125, Youth @ $99, under 3 FREE
- If balance of fees due are not paid by 7/1/16 there is a $25 late fee per person.
Discount: The discounted fees for registrations made and paid in full by 5/31/16 is given at the end of the online registration.
Deposit: There is a $75 non-refundable deposit required with all reservations.
Cancellation: If you cancel by 6/1/16, you forfeit the $75 deposit only. If you cancel by 7/1/16 you forfeit a total of $99. No refunds are made for cancellations after 7/1/16.
